I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. The optical department is very helpful at picking out the right frames. They also went over my lens prescription to make sure everything is correct.

Dr Philips in an honest ophthalmologist who provides excellent care. His staff and other optometrist such as Dr. Hoffman who I also see are top notch. Very welcoming, friendly, and take extra time to answer any questions or concerns.

My boyfriend got metal stuck in his eye from work and Dr. Hoffman was absolutely amazing and so confident. He knew exactly what to do and solved our problem so efficiently. I’d recommend him to anyone in a similar situation. Even though he was back up with patients he was still just as caring and confident in his work. Truly awesome experience.

Great eye care from Dr. Paul Phillips (MD, Ophthalmologist) himself (cataracts/surgery), Dr. Munitz (OD, Optometrist) and Dr. Angana Shah (MD, Ophthalmologist (Retinal Specialist). Dr. Munitz diagnosed my cataract when I was newly 50, and connected me with Dr. Phillips, who not only fixed the cataracts but was able to help me SEE for the first time since I was about 8 years old without glasses or contacts. Waking up and seeing for the first time in decades brought me to tears. Tears of joy and freedom! I have had High Myopia, which pre-disposes me to retinal tears. I had a retinal tear in my right eye a few months after my lens replacement surgery for cataracts and Dr. Shah fixed it in the office immediately. I was and am so grateful! This year, while on vacation in Italy, I caught a bad cold my last day – and had the signs of a retinal tear but this time it was worse (flashes of light, floaters and a dark curtain in the corner of my vision). Let’s just say, I never had a more frightening flight home. Dr. Phillips saw me right away – despite it being a holiday weekend and having his own once in a lifetime family event. That is dedication and care. He indeed did see a retinal tear and detachment in my other eye and called the retinal surgeon (Dr. Shah) to address and fix my tear. I was able to see Dr. Shah and by the time she saw me I had 3 tears in various locations of my eye, which meant this time – my eye could not be fixed in the office. A day later, I was seen by Dr. Shah as an emergency at Capital Health. There I had vitrectomy to fix the tears with a gas bubble to hold the repair in place while my eye heals. My eye is healing still, and I am so glad to have Dr. Paul Phillips and Dr. Shah and all the staff help me with my eye care. Your eyes are the windows to your soul and how you see life. If you see flashes of light, a shower or more floaters that usual and the most tell-tale sign a shadow or curtain like veil blocking part of your vision or blurry vision in one area out of the blue – go immediately to an Ophthalmologist to have them look in your eye as only a trained professional can see a retinal tear. . Dr. Shah saved my eyesight! I am incredibly lucky to have such a caring and talented retinal surgeon. Timing is very important to keeping your vision. Don’t neglect your eyes (keep your appointments for eye exams, especially the dilated eye exams). Seeing is believing and while my one eye is still healing from the surgery, I can see better and better with each passing day. I have faith in smart, talented and caring doctors like Dr.Shah and Paul Phillips, and his team at Paul Phillips Eye and Surgery Center and would highly recommend them.

I had a positive experience at Paul Phillips Eye & Surgery Center’s Bridgewater Location. The staff exhibited professionalism and maintained a quiet atmosphere. To minimize the risk of misdiagnosis, multiple doctors will conduct a thorough examination of your eyes, and based on the results, provide a prescription for glasses or contact lenses at the conclusion of your appointment. However, I recommend verifying that your health insurance coverage includes eyewear.
