Paul Phillips Eye & Surgery Center is a physician-owned multi-specialty ophthalmic practice that offers comprehensive eyecare services in surgical and medical retina, cataract and refractive surgery, uveitis, glaucoma, pediatrics, oculoplastic, contact lens fitting and supply, and full service optical. The main location is Flemington, NJ with two satellite offices in Bridgewater and Clinton, NJ. The individual must be able to work onsite at the Clinton, NJ office.
Summary:
We are seeking a Tester to join our dynamic team at Paul Phillips Eye & Surgery Center. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our medical processes and systems, contributing to our commitment to patient care and safety. The Tester will perform diagnostic tests to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating eye conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Make introductions and establish rapport with patients.
- Perform various tests, including visual field testing, OCT, Optos, ONA, Pentacam, IOL Master and ECC.
- Perform office duties and clinical tasks and enter data in the electronic health record system (EHR).
- Interface testing into NextGen EHR system.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including test results and treatment plans.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of ophthalmic equipment. Clean and sanitize equipment and instruments and prepare rooms between patients.
- Perform contact lens fittings and patient training.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in performing ophthalmic tests and procedures.
- Ability to interact with patients and explain procedures clearly.
- Ability to manage patient records and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Accuracy in performing tests and recording results.
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, co-workers and other healthcare professionals.
- Punctual; good attendance
- Shift details for this role require the individual to be available for an 8-hour shift ranging from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and Saturdays. The individual must be able to work onsite at the Clinton, NJ office.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year or more of specialized ophthalmic experience is desirable or completion of on-the-job training upon hiring
