graduated from Alfred University in 1975, and Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1980. His ophthalmology residency was performed at the University of Medicine & Dentistry. After residency, he went on to Moorefield Eye Hospital in London for sub-specialty training (fellowship) in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He has been in practice for nearly two decades, specializing in all aspects of pediatric eye care, pediatric and adult strabismus surgery and Botox injection treatment for strabismus.
Dr. Bernstein is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and was a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Executive Board Section.
attended Rugters University where she studied Pre-Medical/Pre-Veterinary Science. She went on to earn her O.D. from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.
After interning at the Lyons Veterans Administration Center in Lyons, NJ, Omni Eye Services in Iselin, NJ, and the William Feinbloom Low Vision Center at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Dr. Freed-Gilvey graduated with honors in both therapeutic and ocular disease management and low vision therapy. Dr. Freed-Gilvey entered practice in Freehold, NJ, helping to grow a burgeoning low vision and vision-training practice. She joined Flemington Eye & Refractive Surgery Center in 2003, to broaden the practice's capacity for care of the legally blind and visually impaired, as a Therapeutic Optometric Physician. She since joined with Dr. Paul Phillips, in the same capacity. Dr. Freed-Gilvey also performs pediatric low vision and specialty contact lens evaluations.
Dr. Freed-Gilvey has also studied comprehensive low vision care at Lighthouse International in Manhattan. She is by the New Jersey State Board of Optometrists and is an active member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
obtained his undergraduate degree from Emory University. He received his M.D. degree from the Medical Collegeof Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University where he also trained in General Surgery. He was recognized as the Intern of the Year and was awarded the Distinguished Physician Humanitarian Award from the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He went on to further train in Ophthalmology at West Virginia University where he served as the Chief Resident. Dr. Morgenstern was then awarded a fellowship in oculoplastic surgery at The Ohio State University. He completed his training with subsequent fellowships in facial cosmetic surgery and pediatric oculoplastic and cranial facial surgery.
Dr. Morgenstern is board certified and performs adult and pediatric oculoplastic surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. He is one of the few surgeons in the world to have gained certification by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is the active director of oculoplastics at the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, and an integral part of the fellowship teaching staff and the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania.
is an optometric physician who has been practicing in New Jersey for more than 10 years. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he received honors for his clinical work. He joined Flemington Eye & Refractive Surgery Center in 2000, and
has since joined with Dr. Paul Phillips to continue delivering excellence in eye care in the Hunterdon Medical Center. His primary practice focus is on medical management of eye diseased, such as glaucoma, uveitis and dry eye syndrome. He also has extensive experience in the pre and post operative care of many ocular surgeries, including LASIK surgery. Dr. Munitz also specializes in the latest technology in contact lens fitting.
Dr. Munitz is a current member of the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, and the Optometric Council on Refractive Technology.
